Submarine to Close Early for Special Event - Saturday June 3rd
Due to a special event, the submarine will close early on Saturday, June 3rd.
The submarine will close at 1:00 p.m., instead of the normal 6:00 p.m. closing.
Welcome to the blog for the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, home of the historic submarine USS Razorback (SS 394).
Due to a special event, the submarine will close early on Saturday, June 3rd.
Due to the inclement weather, the submarine has been closed to tours, in order to protect the safety of both our staff and our guests.
AIMM has received two new patches in the museum store:
AIMM volunteer Shorty Hagerman prepares for a visit and tour of the river aboard the NLR Maritime Center's utility boat, the Linda Lou.
SubVet and AIMM Volunteer Bill Garrison has painted some wonderful submarine scenes using Razorback as his point of reference. He has allowed AIMM to display many of his great oil paintings aboard the Mary Munns Entry Barge at the North Shore Maritime Center. Drop by and take a look at Garrison's fine artistry.
CAPT Robert L. Chasse USN (ret) and his wife Mary of Melbourne, FL recently visited the Razorback and the AIMM Museum. Chasse served as CAPT Glen "Pappy" Sears' XO in 1964 and 1965. Chasse also served as the Commander of the USS Segundo SS-398. Chasse served in the Navy from 1952 until 1985. Welcome back aboard sir!
