Sad News to Report

It is our sad duty to report that one of AIMM's most loyal supporters and volunteers has rested his oars.

David C. Farmer, QMC (SS), USN Ret, 74, seen in this photo with his wife Jane passed away Saturday in a Little Rock Hospital after a long illness.

Chief Farmer joined the Navy in 1950 and retired in 1970. He served on the USS Picuda (SS 382), the USS Seacat (SS 399) and the USS Marlin (SST 2).

Chief Farmer put in many hours preparing Razorback and the museum as well as many a Saturday guiding people through the exhibits. His willingness to work will always be remembered by us here at AIMM.

David is survived by his wife Jane and three children, Charlotte Burtts of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Paul Farmer of North Little Rock and Cheryl Zerell of Maumelle, Arkansas. They also have four grandchildren. The Farmers had been married 52 years.

Funeral is by Roller-Owens. Click here to read his obituary.
